TOUR DE FRANCE RESULTS
The Tour de France results for 2007 consisted of three impressive cyclists finishing in the top three. The racers who topped the Tour de France results were Alberto Contador Velasco winning the race, Cadel Evans in second place, and Levi Leipheimer finishing in third place.
25 year ole Alberto Contador captured the Tour de France results winning first place of the 2007 results. Considered a climbing specialist, this champion overcame a massive blood clot in his brain just two years prior. He has won races such as the Tour Down Under and the 2007 Paris-Nice. He was under suspicion because of the prior doping during Operacion Puerto. He also was without a contract from anyone as close to the race as in January of 2007, but the Discovery Channel decided to pick him up with a contract. The Tour de France results show that Alberto Contador finished the race at 91 hours and 26 seconds.
The Tour de France results show Cadel Evans arriving 23 minutes behind Alberto Contado Velasco winning second place. Not only is Cadel Evans recognized as the second best racer in the world but the first Australian racer to place in the top ten of the Tour de France results since Phil Anderson. Cadel Evans has won silver medals in 1997 and 1999 at the MTB U23 world Championships and bronze medals in 1995 at the Junior World Road Cycling. At 30 years old, Cadel Evans has a long career of success with his all rounder riding.
The Tour de France results have Levi Leipheimer coming in third 8 minutes behind Cadel Evans and 31 minutes behind Conrado Velasco representing the United States and 34 years of age.
Levi Leipheimer rides with Team Astana and used to ride with the team Discovery Channel. He has come in first place on races like the 2007 Tour of California, 2006 Dauphine Libere, and the Deutschland Tour. He has finished in the top five in many more races since 2001. Levi Leipheimer has a steady career as a professional racer and is ranked the third best in the world according to the Tour de France results.
